On the first TC Impact Day, the Teachers
College community celebrates the daily contributions of our students, faculty, alumni and
staff in making the world a better, more equitable place through education, health and
psychology. Whether through a gift to the college, volunteer service, or social media
discussion join us in making your impact on Wednesday, April 6.
Unrestricted gifts to TC enrich the academic experience at the College, from
in-classroom and digital
instruction, to academic projects and conferences, to the personal and professional
development
opportunities
that prepare students to become changemakers. These gifts preserve and transform the
architectural heritage
of
Teachers College and amplify the TC experience across our community. Help us
maximize our impact across the
globe with a gift today.
When not in the classroom, TC faculty are pushing boundaries in their fields and in
the world.
From research on gun violence, sustainability, and food insecurity, the research
taking place at TC has
real-life implications with actionable outcomes. Fuel this change through a gift in
support of our Research
Centers.
Your ambitions and dreams led you to your academic department at TC, where faculty
and students continue to
work
to forge new ground in inquiry and exploration. Support their efforts, your field
and its future with a gift
to
your academic department.
Whether you wish to support first-generation students or honor a faculty member
through your gift, there are
different opportunities to support the students who are committed to serving the
public good. Your gift will
empower voices, disrupt convention, lift up communities, change policy and
ultimately drive forward our
mission
of creating a smarter, healthier, and more equitable world.
The Wendy M. Dressel Student Emergency Fund aims to ease the financial burden that
emergencies can
unexpectedly
create. From accessing mental health services during the Covid-19 pandemic, to
funding temporary housing
in the
face of a natural disaster, the student emergency fund helps our students when they
need it most.
When you support “TC Promise,” you join us in our commitment to provide much needed
financial aid
packages to
students across disciplines and at all stages of their TC experience. Donors will
have the opportunity
to hear
from a diverse cohort of “TC Promise Scholars” throughout the year, with notes and
video messages and
small
group get togethers (in-person and via Zoom).
Generosity + Unity = TC Promise
Students with children face unique challenges in higher education that require
special considerations
across all
aspects of the TC experience. Gifts for student-parents assist these continuous
learners throughout
their time
at TC by helping them through the many challenges of successfully completing their
studies, caring for
their
families, and maintaining their own physical and mental health.
